Business Ambassadors


The Cintas Business Student Ambassadors strive to promote excellence, unity, and service in the College of Business & Economic Development at the University of 51¶ºÄÌ Mississippi through representation, recruitment, service, and facilitation. Ambassadors play a critical role in recruiting prospective students, engaging current students, fostering alumni relations, and maintaining sound relationships with corporate partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as hosts and hostesses at campus events
  • Assist at off-campus events
  • Assist the Dean’s Office with various business events
  • Provide tours of Scianna Hall to guests and prospective students
  • Engage in fundraising and community service activities
  • Assist in recruiting prospective students
  • Assist in engaging current students
  • Interact with alumni, corporate partners and guests


Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be enrolled in a degree program in the College of Business & Economic Development
  • Must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Must commit to a minimum of one full year as an Ambassador
  • Be able to speak to their experiences in the College of Business & Economic Development and 51¶ºÄÌ Miss
  • Be well-rounded and a positive role model to prospective and new students
  • Have strong public speaking skills
  • Be able to lead a small group and work one on one with other students
  • Have the ability to positively present the attributes of the College of Business & Economic
  • Development and 51¶ºÄÌ Miss
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact with diverse groups
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, initiative, dependability, open-mindedness, and self confidence
  • Have the ability to work in a team environment
  • Have efficient time management skills and the ability to adapt to change
  • Have strong communication skills within teams
