Dr. LaWanda Baskin

Associate Professor

Bio

Dr. LaWanda Baskin is Director (2020)/Assistant Professor (2018) of the School of Leadership and Advanced Nursing Practice (SLANP) in the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP) at The University of 51¶ºÄÌ Mississippi (USM). She recently became an Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) Distinguished Teaching Scholar. She holds a PhD in Nursing Leadership from USM (2017), MSN from ASU (2012), and BSN from USM (1997). Dr. Baskin is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (2012). She has worked in the nursing profession for over 20 years. Dr. Baskin has been selected as an inaugural member of the Florence Health Advisory Board. She continues diligent service to nursing through national, state, and local organization affiliations.
