Welcome to the Spring 2025 move-in page! Below is some key information pertaining to move-in for new and returning students. Please make sure to read everything so your move-in experience is a smooth process!
Move-In for New Students - January 16, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Move-In for Returning Students - January 17, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Before Move-In Day (for new residents)
Step 1 - View Department Handbook
The Department Handbook has all of the information pertaining to Housing and Residence Life. Please review it before arriving on campus so you are aware of what to expect once living at 51¶ºÄÌ Miss!
Step 2 - Review the Packing Guide
The packing guide has vital information on what to bring versus what to keep at home. Please review this carefully!
Step 3 - Confirm your Room Assignment
Confirming your room assignment will make it easier for you when arriving on campus since you'll need to know what building to go to! You can check your room assignment in the.
Step 4 - View Residence Hall Map
If you're unfamiliar with campus, we recommend viewing our map to see where your residence hall is to make it easier to navigate to once you're in Hattiesburg. You can view that map here.
Step 5 - Make sure you know what day and time to move in
Move-in day for new residents is Thursday, January 16 between 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

On Move-In Day (for new and returning students)
Check-In Process
For all new and returning residents, once you've arrived on campus, you'll need to go to your residence hall or front desk (for FSL) to check in. Once you've checked in, you can begin moving into your room.
Please Note: Spring 2025 move-in day for new students is Thursday, January 16 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and returning students is Friday, January 17 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. If you arrive after 4:00 p.m., you'll go to your residence hall or FSL house and then call the number provided at the front door to get checked in.
