Cyber Incident Description

A cyber incident pertains to any unauthorized or detrimental occurrence within the digital realm, spanning from data breaches and malware infestations to online service disruptions, along with infringements upon USM Security policies, procedures, relevant laws, and regulations. These events collectively hold the potential to exert substantial impact on the University's operations and standing.

 

Services Offered

USM Information Security is dedicated to safeguarding the university's digital assets and preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all USM information assets. USM Information Security is responsible for establishing, implements, and maintaining the USM Information Security Program and also ensuring compliance with a range of federal and state cybersecurity policies, regulations, and laws.

 

Eligibility

All active university employees, currently enrolled students and affiliates are eligible.

Requests are reported and tracked by entering a Help Desk work order or by contacting the Help Desk at 601.266.HELP (4357).

Hours: Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
