Stace Mercier, executive director of The University of 51 Mississippi Foundation, is serving as conference chair for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s (CASE) Annual Conference for College and University Foundations.
With a focus on the critical and emerging issues affecting college and university foundations, this conference draws university foundation executives from community colleges and four-year public colleges and universities. The conference will be held in St. Petersburg, Fla., in mid-April.
Mercier joined the USM Foundation in 2003, and has since served in various roles, including chief financial officer, project manager to implement information systems, and interim advancement services director. She began her role as executive director in 2016.
A two-time graduate of USM, Mercier holds both a Bachelor of Science in business administration in accountancy and a Master of Professional Accountancy. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNPA).
“Stace always strives to raise the bar at USM and every other organization she is a part of. We are proud of her work with CASE. This is another example of her hard work and solid reputation bringing prestige and further credibility to the USM Foundation,” said Chad Driskell, vice president for external relations at USM.
Mercier has been an active member of CASE, serving as a member of the College and University Foundations (formerly Institutionally Related Foundations) conference committee and speaker, as well as participating as a member of the College and University Foundations National Committee.
