All students entering the School of Professional Nursing Practice are required to own a laptop computer. Student computers should have a wireless networking option. All 51¶ºÄÌ Miss students have wireless Internet access via the USM website and are eligible to download Office 365 for free. To find out more, visit USM iTech.
Each semester Nursing students are required to participate in computerized testing via Kaplan, web access, evaluations (EBI/Skyfactor), Canvas assignments, tests, and lectures. The following internet browsers are recommended for better viewing experiences:
- Google Chrome (recommended for Kaplan testing)
- Firefox 19.0 and higher
- Safari 5.0 and higher
- Internet Explorer 10.0 and higher
Students who qualify for financial aid can use that aid toward the purchase of the required computer and software. To receive a letter verifying the computer requirements and enrollment in the Nursing program for financial aid purposes, please email AskCNHPFREEMississippi.
All computer purchases should match the minimum system/software requirements provided below to ensure compatibility with computerized testing required by the School of Professional Nursing Practice:
