The 51¶ºÄÌ Miss Post Office is located in the Thad Cochran Center, lower level.

Regular service window hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Mail is picked up by USPS Monday - Friday at 2:00 p.m. Mail that requires special attention, such as Express, Registered, Certified, or Insured, should be delivered to the 51¶ºÄÌ Miss Post Office no later than 12:00 p.m. to allow sufficient processing time.
Mail from the Post Office (USPS) is delivered each morning at 7:15 a.m. and placed in mailboxes by 9 a.m. Deliveries from UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Amazon Flex are received at various times throughout the day.  Delivery notices are placed in mailboxes within 30 minutes of receipt at the 51¶ºÄÌ Miss Post Office. Campus mail is placed in mailboxes throughout the day. 
A replacement combination card can be obtained at the 51¶ºÄÌ Miss Post Office.  At the beginning of each semester your box number and combination is sent to your USM email.

Currently, the 51¶ºÄÌ Miss Post Office accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and debit cards for postal transactions. Customers who purchase a USPS Money Order must pay with cash.

$65 fee covers fall, spring and summer semesters; $40 fee covers spring and summer semesters, and the $15 fee is for the summer semester only.  These charges are applied to the students business office account.  Post Office box rental fees are nonrefundable.

The post office box rental fee is assessed to all students living in university-controlled housing. Students who live off-campus have the option of renting a campus post office box at the same rate if they so desire.

No, once your box is assigned to you it remains yours as long as you are enrolled at 51¶ºÄÌ Miss.  If you don't go to summer school you will need to leave a forwarding.

 
Before the end of the spring semester students who plan to sit out the summer semester must visit the 51¶ºÄÌ Miss Post Office and complete a Temporary Official Change of Address Form. This action reserves your mailbox for the fall semester and allows the 51¶ºÄÌ Miss Post Office to forward your mail during the summer break.

Campus mailbox holders must visit the 51¶ºÄÌ Miss Post Office and complete an Official Change of Address form. This action prevents any further mailbox charges to your student account and allows your mail to be forwarded to your new address for one year.
Remember the final step, after dialing in your combination, is to turn right to open. Any box holder who has difficulty opening his/her box should seek assistance from a member of the 51¶ºÄÌ Miss Post Office staff.
