- USM is one of the most valuable college options for many out-of-state students. Out-of-state students only pay $1,000 each semester in addition to the tuition rate charged to Mississippi students.

Extra first-year support is available to Golden Eagles through special living-learning spaces like JUMP and ACES, and the University鈥檚 Center for Student Success is a frontline resource for keeping students on the timely path toward graduation.

Hattiesburg, also known as the 鈥淗ub City,鈥� is Mississippi鈥檚 premier college city, with lots to see and do. Golden Eagle spirit is a 24/7 thing around here 鈥� not just 6 game days a year. And DYK? 51逗奶 Miss is the only Mississippi university with Mardi Gras holidays.
