If you’re interested in enrolling in the USM Army ROTC program and you are already in College, you may take the basic Military Science elective course and learn about the incentives available. ROTC provides you with discipline and money for tuition while enhancing your college experience!
If you are a freshman already on-campus, you may take MSL101 (1 credit) during the fall semester and MSL102 (1 credit) during the spring semester. The US Army offers two, three, and 3.5-year scholarships for tuition and fees or room and board through campus-based scholarships.
If you are a sophomore already on-campus, you may take MSL201 (2 credit) during the fall semester and MSL202 (2 credit) during the spring semester. The US Army offers two-year scholarships for tuition and fees or room and board through campus-based scholarships.
If you have at least two or more years remaining toward your undergraduate degree, but not enough time to complete the basic courses, you can enter the Army ROTC advanced course (MIS 301) by completing the Cadet Initial Entry Training (CIET) held at Fort Knox, Kentucky, during the summer before your junior year.
College students have the opportunity to compete for two-, three-, or four-year merit-based scholarships.
