Getting Started
Whether you’re in high school, college or already in the Army, you can become an officer in today’s Army by joining the USM Army ROTC program at USM.
If you’re a high school junior or senior and are interested in enrolling in the USM Army ROTC, you can find more about the opportunities, including Army ROTC scholarships for high school student.
If you’re interested in enrolling in the USM Army ROTC program and you are already in College, you can start by talking to our Enrollment and Scholarship Officer. You may take the basic elective course and learn about the incentives available, including opportunities to compete for two-, three-, or four-year merit-based scholarships.
The Golden Eagle BN has two programs you can apply for through the USM College of Nursing and Health Professions and William Carey University School of Nursing.
ARMY NATIONAL GUARD or ARMY RESERVE
The Simultaneous Membership Program allows you to attend Army ROTC and serve in the U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard at the same time. Cadets serve as officer trainees in the Army Reserve or National Guard while completing college.
